陆嘉德：我们在患者治疗方面取得了长足的进步

陆嘉德，上海市质子重离子医院常务副院长。2020年度白玉兰奖金奖获得者。5年来，上海市质子重离子医院在临床、科研及人才培养方面成绩卓著，使中国的肿瘤粒子放疗水平全面实现弯道超车，达全球领先，疗效及研发方面创造了多项全球第一，多种难治性癌症疗效全面超越国际水平。

Lu Jiade, a recipient of the Magnolia Gold Award, the city's highest acknowledgment of foreigners. He is vice president of the Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center.

Established five years ago in Pudong, the center is China's first and the world's third to use advanced forms of radiotherapy to treat cancer. The proton and heavy ion beams are able to target and kill cancerous tissue with very little damage to healthy tissue and cells. Under Lu's leadership, the center has surpassed a new milestone as it has treated over 3,000 patients. The center leads the world in particle radiotherapy treatment of certain cancers.
